
Izabella Teixeira

Izabella Teixeira is the Co-Chair of the UN International Resource Panel, Board Member of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, as well as Trustee Emeritus of the Brazilian Center of International Relations. She served as the Minister of Environment for Brazil from 2010-2016, and was nominated by the UN Secretary-General to be a member of the High-Level Panel on Global Sustainability in 2010 and 2012. She was a key leader in the UN’s Rio+20 Conference on Sustainable Development, and was then invited to be a member on the High-Level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda. Dr Teixeira received the UNEP Champions of the Earth award for Policy Leadership in 2013 for her outstanding work in public service for the environment.
