Bogolo Kenewendo

Kenewendo, Bogolo Joy has been appointed Minister of Mines and Energy of Botswana in November 2024. She previously served as Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (2018–2019), and has held key international roles, including as Regionalization Director and Special Advisor to the UN Climate Change High Level Champions, where worked on initiatives such as the Africa Carbon Market Initiative, the Africa Climate Risk Insurance Facility for Adaptation and the Working Group for Sustainability-linked Sovereign Financing of Nature and Climate. Ms. Kenewendo is also the Managing Director of Kenewendo Advisory, Non-Executive Director of the Africa Free Trade Area Adjustment Fund Corporation and the Africa Center for Economic Transformation, Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for Global Development, and member of the UN Financing for Development group and the WEF Trade Advisory Group.
